RFP for Pushcart Concessions in City Parks

The Recreation and Park Department has issued an update for the Request for Proposals to solicit proposals from qualified respondents to manage and operate specialty food pushcart concessions within properties under the jurisdiction of the Department.

In the first round of selections the Department selected respondents to operate in Golden Gate Park, Mission Dolores, Civic Center and Justin Herman Plaza. The Department will not consider any proposals to operate in Mission Dolores Park. Respondents who are willing to co-locate with other pushcart operators in Golden Gate Park, Civic Center and Justin Herman Plaza are encouraged to apply.

The Department has also clarified the RFP to indicate that proposals will be accepted for the operation of mobile food catering trucks and trailers in addition to pushcarts. The Department will accept applications to operate pushcarts on a rolling basis.
