The Cultural Arts Division offers several specialized creative camp experiences for young people to learn & explore the world through art making, physical movement and social practice. Camp selections are available over the summer, winter & spring breaks. Summer Camp offerings include Art in the Park, Harvey Milk Digital Summer Camp, Pacific Art Camp & Randall Summer Camp.

Pacific Art Camp Thumb

Pacific Art Camp

Dedicated to the Visual & Performing Arts, Pacific Art Camp offers young people an opportunity to explore Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Art, all in one unique camp experience. These 2-week camp sessions culminate in a Parents Nite Recital Showcase & Art Exhibition where the kids get to show off their artworks and perform a song, dance and theatrical piece for family, friends, fellow campers and staff. For ages 7-12, camp sessions are 2-weeks in length and kids participating are divided into color groups by age so that they can share the creative experience with children their own age.

Randall Museum Summer Camp

The Randall Museum has a full season of fantastic summer camps for your child! Camps include a wide range of hands-on science, art, technology, nature study, and physical play. We provide an excellent 1:8 staff to camper ratio. Two-week day camps at the Randall Museum are available for ages 6-12, separated into groups by age: 6-7, 8-9, & 10-12. One-week sleep-away camps at Camp Mather near Yosemite National Park are offered for ages 10-12.

Harvey Milk Digital Summer Camp

A unique combination of traditional art practices and cutting edge digital technologies, Harvey Milk Digital offers a mind, body & spirit approach to art instruction. Our team of talented arts specialists provide the kids with stimulating creative experiences that will get their bodies moving and their minds thinking. Activities include Art Exploration, Capoeira, Carribbean Drumming, Dance Video, Digital Sound Design, Digital Storytelling, Music Exploration, Musical Instrument Making, Film & Digital Photography, Percussion Workshop, Rhythm & Dance, Theater Arts and World Dance. All camp sessions are 2-weeks in length and are divided into the following age groups: ages 6 & 7, 8 & 9, 10 - 12.

Art in the Park Summer Camp

Located at the lovely Sharon Arts Studio, Art in the Park offers young students instruction in a wide variety of artistic disciplines such as ceramics, stained and fused glass, jewelry, and drawing. Students receive substantial individual attention as they work on their art projects. Camps are offered for youth ages 11-15 in 2 and 3-week sessions for half or full day programs.

Art & Tennis in the Park Summer Camp

Come for the art – stay for the tennis. Learn skills that last a lifetime in an art enrichment and fitness program offered jointly at the Sharon Arts Studio and Tennis Complex in Golden Gate Park. This camp offers students instruction a wide variety of artistic disciplines such as ceramics, stained fused glass, jewelry, and drawing in the morning sessions and small group tennis instruction in the afternoons. Students receive substantial individual attention as they work on their art projects or learn tennis skills. These camps are offered in 2 and 3-week sessions for ages 11-15.
