Dance & Theater Gallery

Our mission is to foster creative exchange between mentors, practicing artists and the members of the communities they serve. We inspire our students to master traditional and contemporary styles of theater and dance and believe live arts programs should be both disciplined and liberating. Through classes, offered in a non-competitive, supportive atmosphere, children grow to appreciate the beauty and power of both the art of dance and themselves. Our theater classes provide students with opportunities to develop social skills, gain confidence, present and create stories, and discover what it is like to act on stage.

We offer dance classes for all ages in a variety of forms including Dunham Technique, Capoeira, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Creative Movement, Hip Hop, Irish Dance, Tap Dance, and Ethni Jazz. Come take our Social Ballroom Classes and learn such dance forms as Swing, Lindy Hop, Waltz, Rumba, and Foxtrot! Our Latin-Inspired Zumba Class will get your heart pumping. In addition to traditional dance classes we offer an exceptional Dance Video class which takes kids through the entire process from choreography, to filming, to editing their own dance videos.

Our theater classes aim to expose students to both traditional and experimental approaches to performance. Students are encouraged to hone their skills as actors in Scene Study and Physical Character and engage in the process of creating theater and telling stories through performance in our Making Physical Theater Class, Theater Games, and Shadow Puppet Workshops.
