San Francisco's youth golf programs are designed to introduce and promote the game of golf to young golfers of all abilities. The goal is to provide a fun and enjoyable learning environment that will stimulate interest in the game, build self-esteem, and teach important life skills. Young golfer's will learn the importance of rules and etiquette, as well as the basics of the golf swing and the game. Youth golf programs include San Francisco Recreation and Park Department city-wide opportunities, as well as opportunities with the First Tee Program located at Harding Park.

Golf Courses

San Francisco is home to some the most beautiful and challenging public golf courses in the world. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department owns 6 public golf courses; Harding Park, Lincoln Park, Sharp Park, Golden Gate Park, Fleming, and Gleneagles. Each course has its own distinct identity and experience. Golden Gate Park is perfect for the beginning golfer, Sharp Park and Lincoln boast spectacular views, Fleming and Glen Eagles are some of the most difficult nine hole courses you’ll find, and Harding Park is a world class championship level course that recently played host to the President's Cup.

Resident Cards

How to Obtain a San Francisco Golf Resident Card for use at Golden Gate Park, Fleming, Harding Park, Lincoln Park, and Sharp Park Golf Courses.A San Francisco golf resident card may be used for the privilege of making advanced reservations for golf play through the Department's Golf Reservation System and, upon presentation to the starter at the golf course, for discounted golf fees.
