Sharon Art Studio

Opened in 1888, the Sharon Arts Studio is the largest fine art community studio in San Francisco that offers a wide variety of art workshops and classes to youth, adults, and seniors. Located at the east end of San Francisco's famous Golden Gate Park, the Sharon Arts Studio has been serving the community for over 100 years.

In 1991, after almost closing its doors to budget cuts, the studio was rescued by The Friends of Sharon Arts Studio (FOSAS), a volunteer organization that allowed the studio to remain open to the public. Today, the Studio is a vibrant hub of Arts & Crafts offerings thanks to an innovative partnership between the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department & The Friends of the Sharon Arts Studio.

From beginning artist to master, members and non-members can explore courses in ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry, textiles and watercolor. The Sharon Arts Studio invites you to enter into a world of art and creativity.
