Waterfront Recreation

San Francisco is surrounded by water on three sides. The north being Fort point & the Marina, the west consisting of Ocean beach, and the east consisting of all the piers, embarcadero, and all the waterfront space that runs south to Candlestick point. With all this waterfront space San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department has your waterfront sports covered. Unlike our aquatics department which deals with indoor aquatic facilities and swimming waterfront sports focuses on outdoor water activities such as sailing, kayaking, surfing, fishing, scuba diving, skim boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, etc. If you love the outdoors and like playing in or around water then one of our waterfront classes will be perfect for you.
