Youth Sports
The goal of youth sports in San Francisco is to encourage skill development and foster a positive attitude without overly emphasizing winning every game as a primary goal. Children will learn basic to advanced fundamentals in sports such as baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, and tennis. Check out the wide range of league, instructional course, and camp offerings throughout the city of San Francisco!
The San Francisco Youth Baseball League (SFYBL) is the oldest and largest youth baseball league in San Francisco. Many of our players go on to play baseball in high school as well as college. For 22 years, the SFYBL has run a Spring youth baseball program in San Francisco for boys and girls. Last year we had over 1500 players on 115 kindergarten t-ball through 8th grade kid-pitch teams. We also have Summer tournament travel teams and a Summer middle school age league.
There are two ways to sign up:
- Entire teams can sign up directly through SFBYL and will apply for practice times
- Individual Players or Groups of Players can sign up and have an SFRPD provided coach by picking a location and time for practice. Registration closes Feb 8.
