Garden Resource Day in McLaren Park on April 5
Join us for our next garden resource day on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be free compost, mulch, plant starts and seeds, as well as a tool care station. Compost will be limited to five 5-gallon buckets per household– bring your own buckets. Additionally, volunteers from the UC Master Gardener Program of San Mateo and San Francisco counties will be on site to answer your gardening questions! These events will take place at the overflow parking lot at Gleneagles Golf Course (2100 Sunnydale Avenue), adjacent to the McLaren Bike Park. San Francisco Botanical Garden's Earth Day Celebration on April 19
Come out to the San Francisco Botanical Garden (1199 9th Avenue) in Golden Gate Park for a fun filled celebration of Earth Day in the Great Meadow on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the garden or walk over to our Children’s Garden. This event is free with admission to the garden. Activities will be offered while supplies last. Come early for the best opportunity to participate with our program partners. More information.

2nd Annual Bernal Heights Earth Day Stroll on April 19
Come out for the 2nd annual Bernal Heights Earth Day Stroll on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join your neighbors for a day of environmental celebration, education, and action throughout the Bernal Heights neighborhood. The Earth Day Stroll features numerous activities and attractions spread along Cortland Avenue and the paths of Bernal Hill. More information

EcoCenter Anniversary and Earth Month Block Party on April 26
Celebrate Earth Month and the 15th Anniversary of the EcoCenter (32 Jennings Street) on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please join us at the 15th Year Anniversary Celebration of the EcoCenter on Saturday, April 26 from 10am- 1pm. Learn from community-based organizations, get your hands dirty in a volunteer project, and enjoy free games, activities, workshops, refreshments and so much more. Celebrate our planet, community and the legacy of the EcoCenter in Heron's Head Park

Alemany Farm's Earth Day on the Green Celebration on April 26
Join Alemany Farm (700 Alemany Boulevard) for its Earth Day on the Green celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. This free event will feature potato planting, farm tours, face painting, DJ, live music by Duo Pizzicato, the traditional pig roast, and more. More information.

Earth Day Celebration at Jefferson Square Park on April 26 
Join the Tenderloin Merchants Association at Jefferson Square Park (Eddy and Gough streets) for its Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a volunteer cleanup, ceremonial tree planting, brief remarks, and a cake picnic. More information.

Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros at Parque Niños Unidos on April 27 
Join the San Francisco Public Library and community partners for its Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros celebration of literacy, books and nature. It takes place on Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parque Niños Unidos (23rd and Folsom streets). The event will feature performances, arts and crafts, community resources, nature play, reading activities and more! More information.

Swing into Stories with the San Francisco Public Library
The Library’s YouthMobile is coming to the park! Movement and play are essential building blocks in fostering literacy and a love of reading. In partnership with the SF Rec & Park, the Library brings stories and song to our City’s beloved parks. Join us for a high-energy story time in our beautiful outdoors! The YouthMobile offers a diverse selection of children’s library materials available for check-out with an SFPL library card. From the City’s only kid-focused bookmobile, we circulate materials, create library cards and provide the public with information about library services and programs. Bean Sprout Family Days with the SF Botanical Garden
Come out to the Children’s Garden for Bean Sprouts Family Days to explore, create, and play in nature. Hop from log to log at the Stump Jump, build castles in the Sandlot, and create your own masterpieces in the Fort Forest. Families with children of all ages will find something to enjoy.
