Hi everyone! Construction is going smoothly on the improvements near John Muir Parking Lot. The contractor has installed the concrete pad for the new fitness court, as well as the concrete pad where the new picnic tables will be located. They are getting ready to install new ADA parking and reconstruct a portion of asphalt pathway. We look forward to wrapping up this initial phase by the end of the year!
We are also in the bid phase for additional improvements near the NE corner of Lake Merced. We will be opening at the end of November. As a reminder, this project includes renovating the existing asphalt path and adjacent soft shoulder jogging path. We will also be installing fitness stations, benches, and a drinking fountain, and we will be upgrading ADA parking spaces at Sunset Circle Parking Lot. As this project gets closer to starting, we will share pedestrian and bicycle detour information.
