Hello neighbors! We anticipate that construction will begin this month on 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way in Golden Gate Park. Expect to see fencing and construction equipment being staged onsite in the coming weeks. Soon after, we will remove three mature trees within the project area near the entrance to the park.
The contractor is coordinating with RPD and MTA to determine sequencing and phasing of the project. Our intention is to minimize disturbance during construction for those traveling into and out of the park. There will always be vehicular and pedestrian access into and out of sthe park via 9th Avenue, though at times street traffic will be routed into fewer lanes and sidewalk traffic will be detoured across the street. Service access to the County Fair Building will remain open.
