Hi Neighbors! We are excited to announce that we are scheduled to begin filling Middle Lake on Tuesday, March 19. Over the following days and weeks, the lake will gradually be filled to the top.
The water to fill the lake will enter from the outlet of South Lake to the south and from the rock cascade below the casting ponds to the northeast. After spending many years in a dilapidated condition, the rock cascade is now fully restored and functional. This feature is designed to convey excess water from the casting ponds down to Middle Lake.
Construction fences will remain up around the project perimeter until the project is completed, but we invite you to try to catch a glimpse of the water moving down through the rock cascade by looking through the construction fence along Chain of Lakes Drive.
