Following up on our last update on October 2, the contractor team is continuing with Deep Soil Mixing (DSM) production. DSM work uses large, specialized equipment to stabilize the soil under the location where the new Rec Center will be built. DSM work is anticipated to continue into early 2025.
We’re sad to report that the construction site has been broken into several times recently, some of which have included damage to construction equipment. In response, we alerted local law enforcement and the contractor installed interactive cameras onsite to help deter subsequent attempts. We ask that you continue to help us keep an eye on the site, especially after hours, and report any suspicious activity to SFPD immediately.
Looking ahead, we are actively working to award trade packages for the remaining scopes of work for the project, under Swinerton Builders as general contractor through our Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contract delivery method.
