We're excited to share that construction has officially begun on the connector trail linking Crestline Drive to the upcoming Twin Peak Promenade. Following the successful demolition phase led by San Francisco Conservation Corps, Cazadoro Construction has now begun rebuilding the trail this week.
The project will include the installation of new box steps, retaining walls, and stringer stairs for steeper sections, as well as erosion control measures and native seed restoration to support a healthy trail environment. To improve accessibility, the concrete barrier at the top of the trail will also be removed, allowing easier entry to the closed roadway.
During construction, please note that several parking spaces along Crestline Drive will be temporarily used for staging equipment and materials. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period.
The trail is expected to reopen in early summer—just in time for warmer days and scenic hikes!
As for the Twin Peaks Promenade, the design team is wrapping up the construction document and we anticipated sending the project out for contractor bids this summer.
Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses.
