We are happy to report that we will be presenting award of construction contract to the Recreation and Park Commission for approval this Thursday, February 17.
We received 10 bids from contractors on January 25. We have confirmed the contracting compliance and qualifications of the apparent low bidder, Cazadoro Construction, Inc, and their bid is within our budget.
Cazadoro Construction, Inc, is a firm that has worked with Rec and Park on several recent projects, including the following:
- McLaren Park Group Picnic Area and Playground (now called Redwood Grove Playground)
- Juri Commons
- Turk-Hyde Mini Park
- Victoria Manalo Draves Park Lighting Upgrades

Pending Commission approval and finalization of contract, our goal is to issue Notice to Proceed to the Contractor by late March or early April, which means you should see some construction activity on site by sometime in April.
