Earlier this season Twin Peaks was awarded $500K from the State Coastal Conservancy (SCC), Priority Conservation Area Grant (PCA). That coupled with $1MIL from the SF 2020 Health & Safety Bond, set our design team in motion planning for the restoration of trails.
Yesterday we received notice which will enable us to implement the pedestrian walkway. California’s Natural Resource Agency, Department of Parks, and Recreation (CDPR), Regional Park Program of Proposition 68 awarded the Twin Peak’s Improvement Project $1.9MIL.
We expect to hear any day now if we can round out the project with the CDPR’s Habitat Conservation Fund (HCF) of $350K. This funding would be dedicated to the Mission Blue Butterfly trail that connects Crestline Drive to the Promenade.
It’s been a quiet summer waiting on notifications from our grantors. Now that we have it, you’ll be hearing a lot more from us!
