Our replacement of a failed asphalt pathway south of Louis Sutter Playground is now complete! The fencing has been removed, large logs are in position to prevent vehicle access, and the adjacent area is prepared for future planting. This new Outdoor Recreational Access Route is the first segment of a future stabilized natural surface trail, which is scheduled for installation in 2024.
The parking lot will be cleaned up significantly in the next couple of days, freeing up a couple additional parking spaces. The project contractor is still wrapping up some adjacent irrigation improvements and planting will occur closer to the fall rains, to support better establishment of the California natives.
Thanks for your patience as the project was first delayed by winter rains, and then summer schedules for necessary inspections.
Enjoy your parks!
