Design continues to progress, and—though there is a slight delay due to utility conflicts—park renovations are still planned to begin early summer 2024 and complete in late summer 2025.
Late September, the conceptual design for the Buchanan Street Mall Memory Walk, was approved by the San Francisco Arts Commission Civic Design Review Committee. This concept establishes a platform for future storytelling in the Fillmore Community, through interpretation, art, and other programming. Since the Core Partners in the Park Improvement Equity Action Initiative shared draft recommendations with the Fillmore Community at the end of August, project leadership has been engaging various stakeholders to further refine. We anticipate sharing some final recommendations for equity impact this fall.
