Hello, Neighbors. We have two important updates to share:
1) Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1 at 2pm, we will be presenting a second construction contract amendment to extend the construction duration to allow completion by early Fall 2024. We are working to hone in on a more specific date range for substantial completion and park re-opening and will be in touch with updates on that soon.
2) We will be removing and replacing three additional trees: a beech, a poplar, and a sycamore. These three trees were not in good condition prior to the start of construction. They have been reviewed by our consulting arborist, and we feel it is prudent to remove and replace them now, as part of the renovation.
We are happy to report that construction has picked up, and you can see core elements of the renovation as you pass by. The adult exercise equipment has been installed, and the contractor team is currently working on site grading, boardwalk decking, irrigation system installation, electrical work, and pathway layout.
