Since our last update on October 16, we have been working on several tasks to help wrap up major construction. We are finishing the right of way work required for disability access. We are also working on electrical and lighting installation, planting, and finishing the raised deck.
Custom picnic tables and benches are in the process of being built, in partnership with local wood and metal fabricators. And we were excited to see both natural turf grass meadows get their first haircuts!
Soon, we’ll be putting the refurbished park sign back in place and installing a plaque to recognize donors and partners.
Almost there! We are on pace to re-open the park before the end of the year. We’ll share more details once the dates are more firm.
Site security continues to be a challenge for this project. We have alerted local law enforcement. We ask that you continue to help us keep an eye on the site, especially after hours, and report any suspicious activity to SFPD immediately.
