NOTICE OF PENDING PERMIT
A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT ON THIS SITE IS PENDING BEFORE THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT: Great Highway Vehicle Closure/Sloat Bike Lanes Project - This project will permanently close the roadway to private vehicles to establish a public open recreation space. The project includes: 1) directing bikes to east side and pedestrians to west side of roadway with stencils and signage. 2) Traffic modifications at Sloat & Lincoln intersections with Great Highway to protect pedestrians and bikes, and make vehicle turn restrictions, 3) Install low-profile fencing and signage along Great Highway facing dunes to reduce pedestrian trampling.
LOCATION: The Upper Great Highway from Lincoln Way to Sloat Boulevard, including intersections
