Design is progressing for the stage on the McAllister to Fulton block, thanks to the thoughtful input input provided by local performing art stakeholders, including the African American Art & Culture Complex, African-American Shakespeare Company, Afrosolo Theatre Company, Handful Players, and others. We plan to wrap up the Eddy - Turk and McAllister - Fulton design refinement survey in early April. If love or work near The Mall and haven’t yet chimed in, please take 10 minutes to help ensure that the park we build realizes the community’s vision.
We are still on track to start construction of Phase 1 in spring 2023. This first phase of renovations includes the Eddy - Turk, Turk - Golden Gate, and McAllister - Fulton blocks, as well as improvements at the four segmenting intersections.
