Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second community meeting about the conceptual design for the Crocker Amazon Baseball and Softball Fields Renovation project.

We received a great variety of thoughtful feedback from those in attendance. We will review all these comments, as well as the feedback we’re receiving via email, and refine the design proposal over the next few months before presenting it to the Recreation and Park Commission for their consideration and approval early next year.

We are grateful to all the neighbors and community members who have taken the time to help shape the design and programming of the ballfields. Please stay tuned for more updates.

Meet at June Jordan High School in the auditorium

325 LaGrande Ave (at Brazil Ave)

Join Rec and Park for our second community meeting to discuss the revitalization of the baseball and softball fields at Crocker Amazon. 

The San Francisco Giants are partnering with Rec and Park to renovate six baseball and softball fields with new, state-of-the-art diamonds and associated amenities. These improvements will benefit youth, high school and adult baseball and softball programs.

The project will re-orient and renovate the existing baseball/softball fields, install field and pathway lighting, expand the parking lot, install batting cages, upgrade the existing dog play area, create a new dog play area, add a new restroom facility, provide a central community plaza space, as well as improve pedestrian walkways, irrigation and plantings, and park furniture, such as picnic tables and benches.

Thanks to everyone who attended our first community meeting on February 22, where we shared our initial project concept for community feedback. It was a very engaging meeting and we heard lots of important feedback.

The project team will assemble all the feedback that we have received and will work to refine our concept plan at which point we will come back in the near future to share an updated plan.

Join the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to discuss the renovation of the baseball and softball fields at Crocker Amazon. The San Francisco Giants organization approached the Department with a proposal to partner to install six baseball and softball fields with new, state-of the-art diamonds and associated amenities. These improvements will benefit youth, high school and adult baseball and softball programs.

The project will re-orient and renovate the existing baseball/softball fields, upgrade pathway lighting, expand the parking lot, install batting cages, create a new dog play area, add a free-standing restroom, as well as improve pedestrian walkways, irrigation and plantings, and park furniture, such as picnic tables and benches.
