Please note: A portion of Alamo Dog Play Area is currently closed through February 2020 for aeration and maintenance. 
 
This park has grassy, tree-shaded slopes with spectacular city views, as well as a playground, tennis court, popular dog play area, picnic tables, benches, and flowerbeds. Dog lovers mix with the many groups on walking tours of the square and surrounding neighborhood, and the park is a common stop for tour buses taking visitors around San Francisco.

  • Leash your dog(s) in on-leash areas
  • Do not leave your pet unattended
  • Control excessive barking and noise
  • Prevent digging/destructive behavior
  • Keep vaccinations and licenses current
  • Dog walkers welcome; Please limit the number of dogs under your care to eight
