Since our last update on September 3, our contractor is continuing to work on replacing the lateral sewer lines, including installing new sewer vents for easier maintenance for the park and adjacent properties. Also, they are continuing to map and verify existing underground utility lines.
There has been some minor grading throughout, and on the northernmost block, crews are beginning to move soil and grade the landscape to create the park’s new features. The design will transform the current slope into two distinct levels joined by an accessible walkway and stairs. The upper level will feature a picnic/BBQ area and half basketball court; the lower level will be a playground.
Creating these two levels requires removing a significant amount of soil. Please be advised: At the end of this week, there will be several large trucks traveling in and out of the northernmost blocks. As always, please follow signs and construction flaggers, for your own safety.
Later this week, our contractor will begin trenching work for the main irrigation line.
