Thank you to everyone who came out to Rec and Park and Success Centers’ monthly workforce-focused community office hours on Thursday, July 31.
For the past two years, we have partnered with Success Centers, a hyper-local community-based workforce nonprofit dedicated to connecting local Western Addition and Fillmore residents with trade job opportunities, training, and employment support for this project. During this first phase of construction, it requires a limited number of skilled staff, however, the contractor is now moving fast: starting next week, a local resident who is a union member will begin working, and more local candidates will be interviewed.
We are excited to see union members and Success Center graduates progressing and look forward to more hiring opportunities.
