The pathway replacement work south of Louis Sutter Playground is almost complete! The new stabilized natural surface trail is the first segment of a new multi-use ribbon trail that will be built to extend all the way to the Mansell Tai Chi court within the next year, as part of the McLaren Trails Priority Improvements Project. The regraded hillside will soon be planted with California natives.
During the course of construction, we were able to coordinate between our contractor and the Rec and Park Structural Maintenance yard to find and repair a leak in the irrigation system.
The project also included miscellaneous improvements to the interior of the roundhouse restrooms, establishing two single-user ADA-accessible restrooms.
