Recreation and Park Commission awarded the construction contract for Japantown Peace Plaza Renovation to Plant Construction on December 21, 2023 (PDF).
Thank you to the Japantown Task Force Executive Members that voiced their support throughout this project and most recently to our Commission during the December meeting.
Public Works Contract Administration will be preparing the contract and setting up systems to initiate construction. This process is expected to take up to three months, and then we expect to begin construction in spring 2024.
