We hope everyone enjoyed the first concert of Stern Grove Festival’s 2024 concert series last weekend!
This month the crew that is working on the Trocadero Clubhouse repairs completed all exterior work on the roof and 95% of the exterior painting. They removed both the boom lift and the scaffolding used to reach the top half and back of the building. The construction fencing was also refreshed to better conceal the construction equipment used to repair the building.
Next month, work will move almost entirely indoors to address damages to lath/plaster, painting, wood flooring, and light fixtures. That work should be completed by the end of this year.
This project is repairing the Trocadero Clubhouse in Sigmund Stern Grove. The San Francisco Historical Landmark was severely damaged in March 2023 when a storm toppled an 85-foot eucalyptus tree, partially crushing the clubhouse roof and triggering a deluge from its interior sprinkler system.
