SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Richmond Playground re-opened today following a $3.5 million makeover, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department announced. A group of enthusiastic young critics got the first crack at its thrilling new features, including a bear tower sculpture, challenging climbing rock, slides and imaginative play areas.
The renovation was funded by the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Bond and Let’sPlaySF!, a partnership between Rec and Park and SF Parks Alliance to transform 13 of San Francisco’s most timeworn playgrounds into dynamic hubs for creativity and family life.
