Esprit Park | Construction update, November 2024

Rec Park Improvements | All Project Updates Posted on November 26, 2024

Since our last update in October, we are continuing to push toward substantial completion of construction and the re-opening of the park.

Work to repair and replace curb ramps and sections of sidewalk, which required for disability access, has been completed and inspections are scheduled for this week.

Planting is now complete. Local wood and metal fabricators are building our new, custom picnic tables and benches. Electrical and lighting installation are underway.

The park sign pole has been refurbished and reinstalled, and a new Esprit Park sign will be coming soon.

We’re almost there! We are on pace to re-open the park around the end of the year – either right before or soon after. We’ll share more details, including the date for a re-opening celebration, as soon as the dates are firm.

Site security continues to be a challenge for this project. We have alerted local law enforcement. We ask that you continue to help us keep an eye on the site, especially after hours, and report any suspicious activity to SFPD immediately.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.
