The new play structure at Tenderloin Recreation Center is taking shape and it’s a big one! The new play structure features a two-story climbing structure made of stacked cubes, with a central climbing net and a stainless-steel tube slide that kids can zoom down.
Near the entrance, a new seating area made from boulders is being carefully laid out. Concrete work is expected to begin soon, which will help define this welcoming gathering space.
Meanwhile, the soccer pitch is being reassembled near the street-side of the park, a move that’s already made a noticeable improvement to the space – With this new layout, the entire site feels more open, cohesive, and spacious.
The project remains on schedule and is expected to open this summer.
We’re excited to see all these elements come together to create a vibrant, adventure-filled space for the Tenderloin community!
