The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department seeks proposals to lease a concession and storage spaces in historic Union Square, the heart of San Francisco’s shopping and tourist district.  The premises include approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of interior space plus outdoor seating areas and storage space in the garage. The premises will be renovated in late 2025-early 2026 and the future café will have on-site cooking capabilities.  The Department hopes to find a lessee that provides a unique food concession that represents the best of San Francisco and complements other uses of Union Square. The Department seeks tenants who will operate and maintain the premises to the highest standards through a lease from 3 to 10 years.

  • Pre-submittal Site Visit #4 – 10 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025
  • Deadline to submit questions – 3 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025
  • Proposal Due Date – Thursday, July 31, 2025, 3 p.m.
