McLaren Park - Louis Sutter Upper Playground Renewal

Scope of Work

This project will fully renovate the playground adjacent to McNab Lake at Louis Sutter Playground in McLaren Park.

This playground renewal project will replace all play equipment and playground surfacing within the existing playground footprint, complete minor fence and gate improvements, and ensure the playground is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Background

The project is a part of Rec and Park’s Playground Renewal program, an initiative that leverages the City’s cooperative purchasing power to streamline the delivery of complete replacements of play equipment and play surfacing. 

Rec and Park’s first Playground Renewal project was Bernal Heights Playground Renewal, which was completed November 3, 2025.

Funding

Funding comes from 2020 Health & Recovery Bond.
