We are excited to announce that the Stanyan Street Sidewalk Improvements Project will be starting construction soon.
This project will upgrade existing sidewalks and driveway aprons at the parking lot entrances on the west side of Stanyan between Hayes St and JFK Promenade to be ADA compliant.
Construction on the west sidewalk on Stanyan St. between Hayes St. and Kezar Dr. will occur from Fall 2025 to early 2026.
Expect construction noise, intermittent street/sidewalk closures, and pedestrian detours. Please follow all posted signage and directions from flaggers.
This project is part of the Golden Gate Park Access and Safety Program, a project of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) includes a number of initiatives to improve safety, equity, accessibility and mobility along the new JFK Promenade.
