[ARCHIVED] Water Board meeting + public comment period | SF East Harbor + Outside East Harbor Clean Up Plans

Capital Project Update

Hello Neighbors,

We wanted to pass along the following announcement by our partners at California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region (Water Board) regarding the upcoming environmental remediation work that will be happening in East Harbor Marina and Outside East Harbor:

The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region (Water Board), encourages you to take this opportunity to review this Fact Sheet (PDF) regarding Draft Feasibility Studies (Draft Cleanup Plans) for the East Harbor Marina and Outside East Harbor environmental investigation sites. The public comment period is from April 24, 2023, to June 9, 2023.

The Water Board will also host a PUBLIC MEETING on May 11, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. PDT at Fort Mason Center, Gallery 308, Landmark Building A, 2 Marina Blvd., San Francisco, 94123 to discuss the Draft Cleanup Plans. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions, learn more, and provide comments.

An electronic copy of the Draft Cleanup Plans and other documents for the Sites are available on the GeoTracker website at: https://geotracker.waterboards.ca.gov. Under “Tools,” click on “Advanced Search” and enter Case ID number T10000005263 for East Harbor or Case ID number T10000010308 for Outside East Harbor, then click on “Site Maps/Documents.”

Here at SF Rec and Park, we are working to identify a few dates this summer for our next round of community meetings for the SF Marina Improvement and Remediation Project.
