Welcome to our 25th Annual SFRPD All-City Jr. Warriors Youth Basketball League in San Francisco! Each team will have league games (6 or more) and weekly practices. Jr. Warriors League games will be played on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays at different Recreation Centers depending on grade level.

If you are interested in becoming a coach/assistant coach, referee, or scorekeeper, you do not need to have a high level of experience in basketball. Our league offers an annual coaching clinic and experienced coaches who are more than happy to provide advice.

Our Travel Programs:

San Francisco Bay Sox Girls Baseball:

A project of the San Francisco Park & Rec Department, The San Francisco Bay Sox Girls Baseball Program is the largest girls baseball program currently operating in the US.  Founded in 2015 by former Women’s Baseball players Rachelle "Rocky" Henley and Alex Oglesby with the desire to field an all girls’ team to represent San Francisco in the inaugural Baseball For All National Girls Baseball Tournament. At the recent July, 2024 Baseball For All national tournament in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, the Bay Sox performed extraordinarily well. The 16U team won a national championship in their division, and the 12U team and 14U teams went 4-1 and 4-2 respectively.

The Bay Sox Program has grown to provide year-long developmental activities and teams and higher level travel teams for girls ages 6-18. Since it’s inception, the Bay Sox has expanded from one team of 12 girls to serving over 120 girls annually with our clinics and teams, in our quest to show the world just how much the game of baseball needs women and girls.

The philosophy of the Bay Sox program is to provide an inclusive, safe space for the development of female baseball players. The Bay Sox program will develop competitive baseball players that can confidently tryout and play for any baseball team they choose. Our program aims to provide female players with the same opportunities that are traditionally offered to their male counterparts.

The Bay Sox program offers Summer-Fall travel teams, Spring SFYBL teams, Winter workouts, and Fall/Winter monthly free baseball clinics.

For more information, visit the San Francisco Bay Sox Girls Baseball webpage.

Mission Rec Rebels (AAU) Basketball Program:

Mission Recreation Center has been involved in girls AAU basketball for 40-plus years. Our goal is to organize, administer, and maintain a competitive girls AAU Basketball program. We strive to provide our participants with instruction in individual and team Basketball skills. All while creating an environment that encourages the spirit of sportsmanship and commitment to teamwork.

The MRC Rebels AAU program primarily serves girls from San Francisco's most diverse communities in the city, that are known to be under served. Programs like MRC Rebels are critical for the future success of these inner-city athletes, by providing a safe place to succeed, with the intention of attending a 4-year university in the future. The program offers high level skill development to learn and reinforce proper Basketball fundamentals that include; footwork, shooting, passing, rebounding, ball-handling, and defense. As a result, through these experiences, participants build long lasting friendships and a sense of community through sports.

Girls are eligible to join and stay with our program starting in the 4th grade through the end of their high school career. Each season teams participate in both local and national tournaments. Some of note include; Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Las Vegas, and various other locations throughout the country. Participating in national tournaments offers opportunities to play in front of college coaches!
