We are excited to have The Office of Cheryl Barton (O|CB) join us as designers for the conceptual design proposals for the entire 5 block length of Buchanan Mall. O|CB was selected by a joint committee of Rec & Park, the Trust for Public Land, and community groups from among four very talented landscape architect finalists. O|CB has strong experience working with communities on public spaces throughout the city and statewide, which you can view here. O|CB will be partnering with Studio-MLA, a Los Angeles-based firm whose expertise on transit-related public spaces and engagement with underserved communities makes them an ideal partner.
After the park-long conceptual design is complete in winter 2019, we will complete the design for the first block to be built between Turk and Golden Gate.
