Fillmore-Turk Mini Park

The Fillmore-Turk Mini Park community, under the new name of New Community Leadership Foundation, initiated improvements when they received a Community Opportunity Fund (COF) award of $330,000 for the park. COF is a program of the 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond. In 2019, Supervisor Brown committed $100,000 from the General Fund towards the project. In 2020, SF Beautiful received a Community Challenge Grant award of $100,000. With additional funding from 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond, General Fund, Open Space Funds and pro-bono design services from TS Studio, Landscape Architects this project budget is just over one million dollars.

Scope of Work

This 2012 Bond Community Opportunity Fund (COF) Project at Fillmore Turk Mini Park will revitalize the park with new landscaping, drainage, seating within the park.

Funding

Total project budget is just over one million dollars, including:

  • Community Opportunity Fund (COF) award, 2012 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond: $330,000
  • General Fund: $100,000
  • SF Beautiful Community Challenge Grant award: $100,000
  • Pro-bono design services from TS Studio, Landscape Architects

The construction contract award for this project was approved by Recreation and Parks Commission on August 3, 2022 (PDF); Recreation and Parks Commission approved a contract amendment on October 12, 2023 (PDF). This construction contract award obtained and complies with all city, state, and federal regulatory approvals, including any that are specific to this project's funding sources.
