COMMUNITY MEETING 1 QUESTIONNAIRE
The San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department is seeking your feedback for improvements at the Tenderloin Recreation Center Children’s Playground. In partnership with Wu Yee Children’s Services, KABOOM! and Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF), this project will upgrade the Children’s Play Area and other outdoor facilities. This project will reenvision the use of the outdoor space to balance current programming needs, including recreation, sports, education, play, community gatherings, and events.
The goal is to create a welcoming and engaging natural outdoor play and learning environment with nature-based playground amenities and an outdoor classroom that fosters connection with nature and environmental literacy. In addition to the playground renovation, the project—partially funded by CalFire’s Green Schoolyards Grant—will offer opportunities for nature exploration, new tree planting, and reduced hardscape. New trees and plants will provide enhanced biodiversity and access to natural elements in the recreation area which will provide substantial benefits for human, wildlife, and environmental well-being.
Please take a few minutes to answer the survey questions and help us create a park for all to enjoy. To learn more, visit the project webpage >>
