We are excited to announce that we are on track to issue Notice to Proceed to the Contractor, Cazadoro Construction, Inc, by early April. Here are some specific updates:
- There’s often a lag between when NTP is issued and when you observe work happening on site. This is because the contractor is working with the City team to get all required submittals in, so that they can order products
- On 3/16, we posted the trees along Monticello that have been planned for removal since our Commission approved the concept design for the project in early 2021. This is a courtesy 30-day advanced notice, so that if neighbors have questions, they can contact me for more information.
- We’ll be hanging an informational construction notice banner (see attached) on the Shields Street fence as soon as it is printed (target: next week)
- If you live within 150’ of the park, you should be receiving a notice later this week or early next week with information regarding a Public Works Minor Encroachment Permit that we have for the project. This is for curbed areas in the Shields Street sidewalk. The purpose of these curbs is to allow us to re-grade the sidewalk to meet current accessibility guidelines (cross slope).
We’re still working to finalize plans for tile work on the park wall above the plaza, to recognize community contribution. I will be in touch with that soon. Please stay tuned.
