Hello neighbors! We anticipate that construction will begin in January on 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way in Golden Gate Park. No construction is planned for December 2023.
The construction contract commenced in November and now the contractor is preparing the construction schedule and completing required submittals.
The contractor will determine sequencing and phasing in coordination with RPD and MTA. Our intention is to minimize disturbance during construction for those traveling into and out of the park. There will always be vehicular and pedestrian access into and out of the park via 9th Avenue, though at times street traffic will be routed into fewer lanes and sidewalk traffic will be detoured across the street. Service access to the County Fair Building will remain open.
