Acquisitions - Future Park Sites

About

In order to meet the growing need for open space in San Francisco, Recreation and Parks Department (RPD) continues to acquire new parks. With the help of the voter-approved Proposition C: the Open Space Fund, RPD has added new park land over the past decade. Park acquisitions can be accomplished in several ways:

  1. Through the Open Space Acquisition Fund
  2. With Development Impact fees paid by new developments
  3. Private donation
  4. Transfer of land from another City department
  5. And more
